Women in Ministry -- A Scriptural Look |
|
|
 |
Win souls and you will be wise and shine like the stars
forever and ever. [Proverbs 11:30, Daniel 12:3] |
 |
She extends her hand to the poor and she stretches out
her hand to the needy. [Proverbs 31:20] |
 |
Sustain the weary one with a word. [Isaiah 50:4] |
 |
Follow Him (Jesus Christ). [John 21:19] |
 |
Live in accordance with the Spirit; have your minds set
controlled by the Spirit which is life and peace. [Romans 8:5b] |
 |
Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and
pleasing to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to the
pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Be
able to test and approve what God's will is -- His good, pleasing and
perfect will. [Romans 12:1-2] |
 |
Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for
the flesh. [Romans 13:14] |
 |
Be free from concern, for the form of this world is
passing away.
[1 Corinthians 7:31-32] |
 |
Be in subjection to everyone who helps in the work and
labors.
[1 Corinthians 16:16] |
 |
Look not at the things which are seen, but at the things
which are not seen. [2 Corinthians 4:18] |
 |
Be known by God. [Galatians 4:9] |
 |
Walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire
of the flesh. [Galatians 5:16] |
 |
Do not lose heart in doing good, for in due time you
shall reap if you do not grow weary. [Galatians 6:9] |
 |
Live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be
completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
[Ephesians 4:1-3] |
 |
Let no unwholesome word proceed out of your mouth, but
only such a word as is good for edification, according to the need of the
moment, that it may give grace to those who hear. [Ephesians 4:29] |
 |
Forget what lies behind and reach forward to what lies
ahead. [Philippians 3:13] |
|
|
 |
Help the women who have shared in the struggle in the
cause of the gospel, whose names are in the Book of Life.
[Philippians
4:3] |
 |
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving make your requests be known to God.
Whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, of good report, let your
mind dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and
seen in me, practice these things and the God of peace shall be with you.
[Philippians 4:6-9] |
 |
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
[Philippians 4:13] |
 |
Do not stop praying for others, ask God to fill you with
knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Live
a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way. Bear fruit in every
good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all
power according to His glorious might, so that you may have great endurance
and patience. Joyfully give thanks to the Father who has qualified you to
share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
[Colossians 1:9-12] |
 |
Continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved
from the hope held out in the gospel. [Colossians 1:23] |
 |
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the
faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
[Colossians
2:6-7] |
 |
Admonish the undisciplined, encourage the faint-hearted,
help the weak, be patient with all, see that no one repays another with evil
for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for
all people. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks.
Do not quench the Holy Spirit. Examine everything carefully. Hold fast to
what is good, abstain from every evil.
[1 Thessalonians 5:14-21] |
 |
Adorn yourselves properly, with decency and propriety ...
but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
[1

 |
Continue in the things you have learned and become
convinced.
[2 Timothy 3:14] |

you drift away from it. [Hebrews 2:1] |

hope that is in you. [1 Peter 5:6] |
